When you start anything new in life, your mind gets bombarded with questions like, 

Am I good enough? Can I really do this? Do others think I'll make it?

These are all questions every new business owner asks themselves. Yet, even seasoned successful entrepreneurs still have doubts or moments of second-guessing. 

But, I've taken a new approach to this. I am channeling my passion, relentless personality, and creative mind to be 'authentically me.' 

That’s my differentiating factor, and I’m here to tell you why.

A little bit about me: 


Imagine my surprise when I found out I was ordinary. 

Then, imagine my surprise when I found out everyone was. 

Ordinary people every day are just doing extraordinary things. That concept never occurred to me growing up. 

And so today, with a renewed sense of purpose and wonder, I look at the ordinary world around me and think: “How am I going to make it better?”

My first job in the branding world was at an eCommerce agency called Brand Value Accelerator. I had the opportunity to work with the most unique brands and even more amazing people. I fell in love instantly. 

The most valuable part of working at BVA was getting to know our clients' stories and helping them craft their brand positioning through design, marketing, and their online storefront. Working with them made me feel like I was building something that would last forever, and I still feel this way about my work today.

I learned fast about the opportunity Shopify had opened up for the market and experienced firsthand the shift in the mindsets of modern consumers.

But not everything was perfect at the agency. There was a lot of turnover, a lack of clear direction, and I never felt I got the attention I needed to truly flourish. I have always been a bit of a rebel. I have a strong personality and a bold way of communicating that can be off-putting in a corporate setting. I am not afraid to speak up, even when it’s not the most popular opinion.

Early on in my career, this personality trait got me into trouble more times than I care to admit. But as I grew older and more experienced, I learned how to harness my unique perspective to better serve my clients and the teams I worked with. 

I used my challenger personality as an asset instead of a crutch and decided I wanted to be me, not some version of me I thought other people would like better or the version my boss wanted me to be. Just me.

Why am I sharing my story? 

Because it is my authentic truth. Because this is what I will ask for if we work together. Don’t tell me about the person or brand you think others want you to be; just explain the difference you want to make in this world and why it’s important. That is how we will craft the most authentic position for your brand and audience to drive real results. 


Why am I starting my branding agency? 


When it comes to creating a brand that people genuinely love, there's nothing more powerful than a purpose-driven brand. Your company is unique because of its values, not its logo or product line. And when you put those values into action, people notice—and they want to be a part of it.

That's why I started Tap Seven Branding. I wanted to help other purpose-driven brands find their voice, so they could use it as an opportunity for growth and change in their community and beyond.

I'm not here to sell a product.

I'm not here to make a buck.

I'm here because I love people and want to help them be their best selves. And I know that if you're reading this, you do too.
